I am an editorial and communications strategist dedicated to helping mission-driven organizations succeed. I work with you to build a strategic, longterm communications plan for connecting to new audiences and shaping policies and practices to build more just communities. 

Prior to starting my communications consultancy, Good Work Group, in 2010, I worked full-time as a Twin Cities journalist, asking important questions and uncovering stories that needed to be told. My stories on politics, people, the arts, and the environment have appeared in the Star Tribune; Pioneer Press; City Pages; Rolling Stone; MinnPost; and many more.

These days, I partner with organizations—from social enterprises to nonprofits to political campaigns—to create meaningful online content and compelling  storytelling campaigns that help my clients increase awareness and make a real impact. 

I bring my enthusiasm for journalistic storytelling to all the work I do. I ask the important questions. I conduct the valuable research and internal interviews. I dig deep, looking at your current content to help you uncover opportunities for improving your message. And I distill a wealth of information into cohesive communications plans that inspire deeper understanding and grassroots advocacy.
